Green Key Global Becomes Preferred Vendor for The Leading Hotels of the World, LTD.
Green Key Global, North America’s trusted sustainability certification for the hotel and lodging industry, was recently selected as a preferred vendor for The Leading Hotels of the World, Ltd. (LHW).,the largest collection of independent luxury hotels with more than 400 properties across 80 countries.
Green Key Global is now part of LHW’s Leading Strategic Sourcing (LSS) program, spearheaded by LHW and DayBlink GPO. The program offers a strategic group purchasing program for LHW’s portfolio of global, independent hotels. The program serves members by helping them capture new demand, access innovative sales, marketing and technology solutions, and drive value to hotels in other strategically important categories, such as sustainability.
When a hotel earns a Green Key it represents its high standards as an establishment to environmental and sustainability efforts. Areas of evaluation to earn a Green Key include energy conservation, water conservation, solid waste management, hazardous waste management, indoor air quality, community outreach, building infrastructure, land use, and environmental management. LHW and Green Key Global’s collaboration will assist hotels in meeting the ever-increasing customer demand for sustainable accommodations, unlock increased bookings, and reduce their carbon footprint.
