June 16, 2010 – The American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA) has partnered with Green Key Global to offer members a significant discounted fee on the Green Key Eco-Rating Program, a graduated rating system designed to recognize hotels, motels, and resorts that are committed to improving their fiscal and environmental performance. Sofitel Luxury Hotels Joins the Green Key Eco-Rating Program: Luxury Hotel Brand Adopts Green Key as Brand Standard in U.S.

March 24, 2010 – Sofitel Luxury Hotels, the French luxury hotel brand within the Accor group, has adopted the Green Key Eco-Rating program as its official green lodging certification program for the United States. Accor North America Announces Green Key Pilot in the United States

January 18, 2010 – Accor North America (ANA), a division of Accor Hospitality, has announced that it will pilot the Green Key Eco-Rating Program (Green Key) within its portfolio in the United States in 2010. October 19, 2009 – Roxanna Lopez, an Operations Manager in LRA Worldwide’s Quality Assurance Practice, has passed the Tier 1 accreditation exam offered through the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) arm of the U.S. Green Building Council. September 21, 2009 – The Green Key Eco-Rating Program (Green Key), the first of its kind to rank and certify hotels and resorts based on their commitment to sustainable “green” practices, has expanded its operations to the United States. The launch of the website www.greenkeyglobal.com signifies the evolution of the program from its Canadian roots to one that serves the needs of conservation-minded properties across Canada and the U.S.
